CPSR- funded Reactive Balance Toolkit: Many people, like older adults and individuals with stroke, are increased risk for falls. In order to keep from falling down, people must often perform rapid and sophisticated reactions, like stepping or grasping movements. Reactive balance training (RBT) retrains these rapid reactions. RBT has been shown to improve control of rapid balance reactions and reduce fall rates by almost half compared to no exercise or ‘typical’ balance training.  The aim of this toolkit is to help healthcare professionals (e.g., physiotherapists or kinesiologists) use RBT in their rehabilitation practices. https://kite-uhn.com/tools/rebal

The CPSR-funded Canadian Stroke Community-based Exercise Recommendations Update 2020:  The Canadian Stroke Community-based Exercise Recommendations (CSCER) were developed to support the translation of best evidence (research, best practice guidelines, and expert opinion) into clear recommendations for program and exercise providers to support the implementation of safe and appropriate exercise programs for people with stroke in a variety of community settings. Available at: http://canstrokecommunityexercise.ca/
