Crip Trip TV Series & CanStroke

Made in collaboration with the CanStroke Recovery Trials Platform as a consultant for scenes discussing stroke, Crip Trip is a documentary series made by filmmakers Frederick Kroetsch and Daniel Ennett.

Season 2 is now streaming on AMI+ here: STREAM NOW.

Season 2 introduced invisible disabilities and made Fred’s stroke more of a focus than it was in Season 1 – and he met another person with lived stroke experience.  In Season 3, the conversation about Fred’s stroke will continue naturally from Season 3.  He will continue to discuss at times, how he’s currently feeling and/or how it continues to impact him (with the added layer of being a caregiver while dealing with his own disability or remaining symptoms).  On camera he may discuss this with his family, with Danny, and possibly with others.   In other words, the impact of the stroke remains, and in Fred’s case in particular, it’s mostly fatigue but it will be true to his unique experience, which is not everybody’s experience.  It won’t be the sole focus of the show, but it’s a very important aspect of one of our main character’s- Fred’s – daily life.  Even when it is not being directly discussed on camera, the audience will have added context of his stroke to interpret why he may be extra tired, for example, on an average day.
