The Arm Boot Camp (ABC) trial, led by Dr. Janice Eng on the CanStroke Recovery Trials Platform, has been featured by Global TV in British Columbia. ABC examines the feasibility and effect of a program that combines exercise and feedback from a wearable device on upper limb movement practice and function in individuals with stroke.
The Global TV story includes interviews with Dr. Eng and a study participant, who described improvement in his arm after taking part in ABC. The study is expected to be published in early 2024. Dr. Eng says a huge benefit of working on the CanStroke platform is that it enabled participation of Canadians in large cities, as well as rural and remote communities.
