The first day of the CPSR’s first Annual Scientific Meeting on Wed., Dec. 2 was a huge success with almost 400 registrants and another 600 who joined a joint webinar on virtual rehabilitation, developed in partnership with Heart & Stroke and embedded in the meeting.
Other highlights on Day 1 included a presentation on brain stimulation for stroke recovery by Prof Charlotte Stagg of Oxford University in the UK, a coffeehouse/workshop on virtual care with Patrice Lindsay, PhD, of Heart & Stroke and Dr. Anita Mountain of Dalhousie University, and a presentation on 3-D kinematics featuring Dr. Ahmet Arac of UCLA. The day concluded with a really neat interactive poster session.
Today’s meeting begins at 12:30 pm EST. Brad MacIntosh, PhD, of Sunnybrook will kick things off as he hosts a session on COVID projects. The day continues with workshops and breakout groups, CPSR project updates, and another interactive poster session. To learn more about the meeting, visit http://canadianstroke.ca/en/training/events.
